Privacy Policy
Clamphone: Fold to Open
Effective 8 October 2026.
The short version
Clamphone collects no data. Nothing you do in it leaves your phone. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and the app makes no network connections.
What stays on your phone
- Your game. Your finds, where you put them on the sea floor, your journal, dress-ups, achievements and settings are saved in the app’s own storage on your device.
- Widgets and the Live Activity. To show your clam on the Home Screen and Lock Screen, the app writes a small file (the growth timer and pictures of your clam) to a storage area shared only with its own widgets, on the same device.
- Notifications. If you turn on “Tell me when it’s ready”, the app schedules a local notification on your phone. No push service is used and nothing is sent to us or anyone else.
- Motion. The light on the clam follows the tilt of your phone, read from its motion sensor while the app is open. The readings are used on the spot and are not stored or sent.
Deleting the app deletes all of this.
Sharing
When you choose to show off a find, the app makes a picture and hands it to the system’s share sheet. Where it goes from there is up to you and the app you share it with.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
