Something wrong, or something odd in your clam? Write to us. We read everything and answer as soon as we can.

It helps to say which phone you have, which version of the system it runs, and what you saw.

Opening. On a foldable, unfold the phone and the clam opens with it. On other phones, tap the clam.
Growing. A pearl grows while the clam stays shut. Under a minute, there is only sand. Under an hour, the pearl is young. After eight hours it is ready, and the rarer finds are more likely.
Gently. Open it slowly. Snap it open and the clam flinches, and may hide for a few minutes.
Taking it out. A find stays in the clam until you drag it onto the sand. Nothing grows while something is still inside.
The sea floor. The sand holds seven finds. After that the oldest goes into the sea chest. Tap the chest to see what is in it and take something out.
The journal. The menu is a sea chart. It keeps a ledger of every find, the dress-ups you have earned, and your achievements.

I only got sand.: It was opened too soon. Give it a minute.
It flinched and went away.: It was opened too fast. It comes back on its own after a few minutes.
Why is nothing growing?: Something is probably still inside. Open it and drag the find out onto the sand.
How do I add the widget?: Touch and hold the Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and choose Clamphone. Open the app once first so the widget can show your own clam.
Can I see the pearl growing on the Lock Screen?: Yes. Turn on “Pearl on the Lock Screen” in the menu’s settings, and a countdown shows until it is ready.
Can it tell me when a pearl is ready?: Yes. Turn on “Tell me when it’s ready” in the menu’s settings. The notification is scheduled on your phone; nothing is sent anywhere.
The light moves when I tilt the phone.: It is meant to. Turn off “Light follows tilt” in the settings to keep it still. It is also still when Reduce Motion is on.
Can I move my collection to a new phone?: Your clam lives only on your phone and is not synced. It moves with a full device backup or transfer, and is lost if the app is deleted.
Is there anything to buy?: No. No in-app purchases, no ads, no subscriptions.
